Anna Paquin has been a New Zealand-Canadian film, theatre and television actress for more than 20 years. She had not planned to become an actress but the fate of her life decided that she should. Following her breakthrough her debut, she was approached by numerous firms. But she decided to stay focused on her studies and turned down any offer. She returned to film at the age of 14 to portray her role as the character of the mutant Rogue in X-Men - the first film in the X-Men film series. Her role in the film brought her worldwide fame. Her character was reprised as 'Rogue' in subsequent sequels including "X2" and "X-Men: The Last Stand. The actress also had brief appearances on screen, such as 'Elaine Goodale' in "Bury My Love at Wounded Knee,' where she earned her first 'Emmy' nomination. In the following months, she began receiving requests to appear in different show on TV. Her first appearance was in 'True Blood' and the show 'Flack'.
